Born in South Australia in a small country town on the Murray River, after completing an apprenticeship as an electrician, Peter went on to do electrical engineering and computer programming, specialising in Automation & Process Control.

During his career and as a result of having some ammeter theatre experience in lighting, stage hand and a little acting, he had the opportunity to be involved with professional theatre in the area of Stage Automation, designing the stage systems for many major shows such as South Pacific, Secret Garden, Miss Saigon, West Side Story etc.   

Peter enjoys many interests such as aviation (owner pilot), car rallies (Outback Odyssey), Music (playing several instruments), Camping, Socialising, Wining & Dinning, Travel, Electronics, Farmhouse restoration etc. 

Musically, he comes from family of musicians and started playing drums in a band at the age of 14. Later this also included lead guitar and some keyboards.

The BadLands were the opening act at the 2019 Sounds By The River event in Mannum, South Australia, which was part of the Red Hot Summer

Currently Peter is the drummer for Strait Up. He loves the creative process of writing and working new material. He is a brilliant drummer and always finds just the right touch to Strait Up original songs.
